Dr. H.V.Madhusudan is a Senior Consultant Nerosurgeon, who currently works at Shree Brain and Spine Clinic in JP Nagar and at Sagar Apollo Hospital Jayanagar, Bangalore. He is an expert in all brain and spine procedures – including tumor removal, device implantations, and all minimal access spinal surgeries. He is credited with doing the first lumbar disc replacement and Interspinous device implantation in Karnataka (2006). He is an expert in all the latest in micro neurosurgery, frameless navigation and endoscopic neuro surgery as well.Following his ECFMG (USMLE- USA) certification, he did his Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at theUniversity of Arizona for a year, where he was further trained in spinal surgeries, including spinal instrumentation and minimal access spinal surgeries. At the University of Buffalo – Roswell Park Cancer Institute (The first and one of the top 5 comprehensive cancer institutes in the US) he further completed another year of Fellowship in Neuro Oncology (Brain tumors), Radiosurgery (Gamma Knife) and functional Neurosurgery. He was instrumental in setting up and running the neurosciences department at Narayana Hrudayalaya for over 2 and ½ yrs. He has personally performed over 6000 surgeries on the brain and spine. Dr. Madhusudan has been awarded the prestigious Indira Gandhi Priyadharshini Award on 14th May 2004 at New Delhi for his outstanding services & achievements and contribution to his field of work.
