Dr.Karthik Gunasekaran, Gold Medalist from Madras Medical College is a Minimal Access Laser Surgery Specialist with Special interest in Pelvic Surgery practising in Chennai. Dr.Karthik began his Surgical career with a Masters in Surgery from Madras Medical College during which he was awarded the Prof A.Venugopal gold medal. He is a Fellow of the Indian Association of Gastro Intestinal Endo Surgeons.He left to the United States in 2003 and trained with Dr.Steve Wexner (Internationally acclaimed and well published) Colorectal Surgeon who is the head of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Florida USA. He completed his Fellowship in Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery with Special interest in Faecal and Anal Incontinence. Treatment of Piles, Fissure and Anal fistulas were emphasised.Dr.Karthik's interest in Laser Surgery made him undergo special training with the German Auriga Laser.
