Dr. Premkumar is a distinguished minimal access and Bariatric surgeon with experience spanning over 16 years. He has been associated with some of the most reputed medical institutions in the country such as PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School (UK), GEM Hospital (Coimbatore), Apollo Hospitals to name a few. He is certified in bariatric and single incision laparoscopic surgery by European school of laparoscopic surgery, St. Pierre University, Brussels (Belgium) under the pioneer of bariatric surgery Prof. Guy Bernard Cadiere. Over the years, Dr. Premkumar has been involved in laparoscopic procedures ranging from simple diagnostic laparoscopies to advanced Laparoscopic procedures including Colorectal work, Gastrectomies, Pancreatic Pseudocysts, Adenalectomies, Splenectomies and Bariatric surgery.He is one of the pioneers of Single incision laparoscopy in the country and was the first to perform single incision inguinal hernia repair in the country.
