I am a licensed consultant rehabilitation psychologist with specialization in clinical psychology with more than 10 years experience. I have a special interest in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I have a wide and varied experience in diagnostic testing and therapy in a number of clinical situations with children as well as adults. My work with children includes detailed developmental testing for high-risk newborns, evaluation and remedial management of children with special needs such as intellectual disabilities (mental retardation), autism and cerebral palsy, diagnosis and management of neuro developmental disorders such as attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), specific language impairment (speech delay) and learning disability (LD) as well as psychological care of adolescents with adjustment disorders, habit disorders, test-anxiety and career-related anxiety . I also work with adults having issues related to anxiety, depression, family adjustment, work stress, relational problems, etc. I have also been looking after the psychological needs of patients admitted with major illnesses such as burns, post-operative situations in orthopedics, cardiology, etc as well as counseling of post-partum mothers and their families on parenting and psychological adjustment to a newborn baby.
