As the Head of Department of this Major Super Speciality Hospital, it is my duty to ensure an efficient running of the Operation Theatre Complex. We, at Fortis Hospital deal with a variety of operative cases including Major Abdominal surgeries, Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurosurgeries .Our cardiac department is very active with complex Adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries conducted on a regular basis. In addition we have departments dedicated to Ophthalmology, ENT and obstetric and gynaecology. The department is active in providing Pain relief with the ACUTE PAIN SERVICE(APS) team which also has Pain Nurses and Anaesthetists working to address the Post Operative pain. Labor Analgesia for patients in labor to ensure 'painless delivery's another significant activity. On a regular basis, we are successfully handling kidney and liver transplants.
