FT3 Test: This blood test is more reliable form of triodothyronine,as this is not affected by certain protein level,thus remains more constant.It measures thyroid function and assesses any abnormal binding protein disorders. T3 & T4 Test is useful primarily to help diagnose hyperthyroidism to help monitor treatment of thyroid disorder. T3 and T4 (thyroxine) are hormones produced by the thyroid gland. These T3 and T4 help control the rate at which the body uses energy and are regulated by a feedback system. TSH Test : This helps to evaluate overall thyroid function.Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is produced when hypothalamus releases thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH).This TRH thereafter triggers pituitary gland to release TSH.
