Dr. A.Sethuramashankaran has 18 years of work experience as Diabetologist & General Physician in Chennai. Started as senior resident/research assistant in Diabetology at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai; worked with Dr. V. Seshiah and Dr. V. Balaji as their registrar at Apollo Hospitals, Greams road, Chennai. Expertise in handling all diabetes related complications like diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar state, septicemia secondary to diabetic cellulitis, diabetic foot, other infections/emergencies complicating diabetes, gestational diabetes and diabetes complicating pregnancy, etc. Piloted the study on Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Tamil Nadu, in both urban and rural settings supported by World Diabetes Foundation and implemented by Dr. V. Seshiah Diabetic Care Centre, Chennai.
