He has passed his MBBS from the first batch of UCMS (University College of Medical Sciences), Delhi University in 1976 and after completing house jobs in ENT and Medicine from one of the premier medical institutions, Safdarjung Hospital, enrolled in Lady Hardinge Medical College and Sucheta Kriplani Hospital, Delhi where from he completed his DLO (Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology) in 1980.He has been in his own dedicated private practice since then at Munirka till the present time. He was also a Consultant E.N.T. specialist at the Students' Health Centre at J.N.U. (Jawaharlal Nehru University for 25 years, between 1987 to 2012, where he attended to the multiple medical problems of the University's Faculty and staff, too. At present he is practicing also as a part time E.N.T.
