About Accworm Oral Suspension
Albendazole is used to treat neurocysticercosis, an infection of the nervous system caused by pork tapeworms. This medicine is also used to treat cystic hydatid disease of the liver, lung, and peritoneum, an infection caused by dog tapeworms.
Uses of Accworm Oral Suspension
Albendazole is used in the treatment of Parasitic infections.
Medicinal Benefits of Accworm Oral Suspension
Albendazole is an antiparasitic medication. It works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die and treats your infection.
Directions for Use
The dose is usually 400 milligrams (mg) 2 times a day, taken with meals, for 8 to 30 days. Adults and children weighing less than 60 kg—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 15 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses, taken with meals, for 8 to 30 days.

Drug Warnings
Albendazole may harm an unborn baby. Use effective birth control while taking albendazole and for at least 3 days after your last dose.
Drug-Drug Interaction:
Albendazole has no known severe interactions with other drugs. Albendazole has no known serious interactions with other drugs.
Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
This medication may cause liver problems. Because drinking alcohol increases the risk of liver problems, limit alcoholic beverages while using this medication. Check with your doctor or pharmacist for more information.
PREGNANCY
This drug should not be used in pregnant women except in clinical circumstances where no alternative management is appropriate. Patients should avoid pregnancy until at least 1 month after stopping therapy. If a patient becomes pregnant while taking this drug, it should be discontinued immediately.
