About Bruflox 0.3% Eye Drop

NORFLOXACIN belongs to the group of antibiotics called quinolones used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, ear, prostate, urinary tract and gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease). Additionally, NORFLOXACIN is used to treat traveller’s diarrhoea. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick. NORFLOXACIN does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.

NORFLOXACIN contains norfloxacin it has a rapid bactericidal action and inhibits synthesis of bacterial deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). An enzyme called DNA gyrase plays a key role in this process. On the other hand, NORFLOXACIN has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria.
