About Excodin Syrup
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Codeine, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Chlorpheniramine Maleate+Codeine+Sodium Citrate+Menthol is used in the treatment of dry cough.

Medicinal Benefits of Excodin Syrup
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Codeine, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Codeine is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Sodium Citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and relieves minor throat irritation.

PREGNANCY
Avoid taking Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol if you are pregnant as Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol contains codeine which might make the baby dependent on the drug leading to withdrawal symptoms in the baby after its birth.
BREAST FEEDING
Avoid taking Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol if you are breastfeeding as Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol contains codeine which might pass into breastmilk leading to life-threatening side effects.
DRIVING
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Sodium Citrate + Menthol may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.
LIVER
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with liver impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have a liver impairment or any concerns regarding this.
KIDNEY
Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have kidney impairment or any concerns regarding this.
