About Exevate F Cream

MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections, such as eczema and dermatitis, nasal polyps (painless growth on the lining of the nose or sinuses), dermatoses (lesions or eruptions of the skin) and impetigo (red sores on the face). Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and causes disease. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID is composed of two medicines: Mometasone (corticosteroid) and Fusidic acid (antibiotic). Mometasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids. Corticosteroids have anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive and antiproliferative (inhibit cell growth) properties. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. On the other hand, Fusidic acid is an antibiotic and prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. It is used to treat infections like dermatitis (inflammation of the skin), spots, cuts, grazes, impetigo (weeping, crusty and swollen patch of skin) and folliculitis (inflammation of one or more hair follicles).

MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID is available in the topical (for skin) forms of cream and ointment. Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID has common side effects like itching, dryness, redness and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if you face any other symptoms or the side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Mometasone, Fusidic acid or other medications. Do not use MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID on sensitive areas like nostrils, ears, lips or genitals if the doctor did not advise you. MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID is used to treat bacterial skin infections, such as eczema and dermatitis. It consists of two medicines: Mometasone (corticosteroid) and Fusidic acid (antibiotic). It is used to treat inflammation and itchiness caused by eczema (inflamed and itchy skin), psoriasis (skin cells build up and form scales and itchy, dry patches), allergies and rash. Mometasone is also used to treat asthma. On the other hand, Fusidic acid is an antibiotic and prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Directions for Use

MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID is available in the topical (for skin) forms of cream and ointment. Cream/Ointment: Apply a thin layer of cream or lotion with clean and dry hands on the skin's affected areas. You can also apply MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Gently rub the medicine into the skin until it is disappeared. Wash your hands before and after applying MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands. Your doctor will decide the dosage of MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID based on the severity of your infection. Do not apply tight dressings and bandages on skin's affected areas after using MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID unless the doctor advised. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Mometasone is available in the form of lotion, inhaler, powder and aerosol. Fusidic acid is also available in eye drop formulation.

Some side effects of MOMETASONE+FUSIDIC ACID include itching, dryness, redness and burning sensation at the skin's application site. These side effects usually go away during the treatment.
