About Glynium 25mcg Respules
GLYCOPYRROLATE belongs to a category of medications called ‘anticholinergics’ primarily used to peptic ulcer in adults and severe drooling caused by certain neurologic disorders (cerebral palsy) in children 3 to 16 years of age. Besides this, GLYCOPYRROLATE Injection is indicated in adults to treat hypersecretion states, for example, secretions in the stomach or airway, and to help protect the heart and nervous system while patients are under general anesthesia.

Medicinal Benefits of Glynium 25mcg Respules
GLYCOPYRROLATE contains ‘Glycopyrrolate’ is an anticholinergic medication used to treat peptic ulcers in adults, and treat chronic, severe drooling caused by certain neurologic disorders (cerebral palsy) in children 3 to 16 years of age. Besides this, it is also used during surgery to reduce secretions in the stomach or airway and to help protect the heart and nervous system while patients are under general anesthesia. GLYCOPYRROLATE works by blocking the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) in the brain. It also decreases stomach acid and saliva production by blocking the activity of a certain natural substance in the body.
Directions for Use
Tablet: It is better to take GLYCOPYRROLATE an hour before a meal. GLYCOPYRROLATE should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Oral solution: Shake the bottle well before use. Check the label for directions and take GLYCOPYRROLATE with or without food in doses as prescribed by your doctor with the help of a measuring cup. Injection: Injection is given by a healthcare professional so, do not self-administer. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take GLYCOPYRROLATE.
Side Effects of Glynium 25mcg Respules
Like all medicines, GLYCOPYRROLATE can also cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Decreased urination, decreased sweating, sore throat, upper respiratory tract infection, constipation, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision are the common side-effects of GLYCOPYRROLATE. Talk to your doctor if you experience any of these side-effects persistently

Drug Warnings
If you are allergic to GLYCOPYRROLATE or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother, it is advised to consult a doctor before using GLYCOPYRROLATE. GLYCOPYRROLATE is not recommended for children below 3 years of age. Please inform your doctor if you are using any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, herbal supplements. If you have urination problems, a blockage in your stomach or intestines, severe constipation, severe ulcerative colitis, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, or active bleeding with heart and blood circulation problems, enlarged prostate, liver/ kidney diseases. Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. GLYCOPYRROLATE can decrease sweating and you may be more prone to heatstroke.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction:
GLYCOPYRROLATE may interact with other anticholinergics (atropine), cholinesterase inhibitors (neostigmine, pyridostigmine), anticonvulsants (topiramate), antihistamines (diphenhydramine).
Drug-Disease Interaction:
If you have urination problems, gastrointestinal blockage, severe constipation, ulcerative colitis, glaucoma, heart, and blood circulation problems, inform your doctor before taking GLYCOPYRROLATE.
Safety Advice
ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking GLYCOPYRROLATE. Alcohol intake leads to increased dizziness, drowsiness, and production of stomach acid, thereby increases acidity and heartburn.
PREGNANCY
Consult your doctor before taking GLYCOPYRROLATE if you are pregnant; your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
BREAST FEEDING
Consult your doctor before taking GLYCOPYRROLATE if you are breastfeeding; your doctor will decide whether GLYCOPYRROLATE can be taken by breastfeeding mothers or not.
DRIVING
GLYCOPYRROLATE may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.
