About Neogra 100mg Tablet

SILDENAFIL belongs to the group of medicines called as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors which are primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to keep a hard and erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Sometimes, SILDENAFIL is also used to treat pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs). SILDENAFIL is not for new-borns, children, or women.

SILDENAFIL works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, thereby allows the blood flow into the penis when the person is sexually excited. However, SILDENAFIL helps the person to get an erection only if he is sexually stimulated. SILDENAFIL is not an aphrodisiac or hormone. It does not cure erectile dysfunction in male but treats erectile dysfunction. SILDENAFIL does not protect you or your partner from getting sexually transmitted diseases including AIDS.

Directions for Use

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water as a whole. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. SILDENAFIL can be taken with or without food. However, taking SILDENAFIL after a heavy meal might take longer time for the medicine to work, therefore you are advised to take SILDENAFIL with light meals.

Side Effects of Neogra 100mg Tablet

Like all medicines, SILDENAFIL can also causes side-effects, although not everybody experiences them. Headache, nausea, indigestion, blurred vision, visual disturbance, dizziness and stuffy nose are the common side-effects of SILDENAFIL. In rare cases you may experience irregular heartbeat, high/low blood pressure, muscle pain, eye irritation and skin rashes. However, consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of these side-effects persistently.

Drug-Drug Interaction:

SILDENAFIL may have interaction with nitroglycerin (used to treat heart failure, angina), warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting), lisinopril, metoprolol (used to treat high blood pressure) and riociguat (used to treat high blood pressure in lungs).

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

You are advised not to consume alcohol while taking SILDENAFIL as it might temporarily impair your ability to get an erection.

 

PREGNANCY

SILDENAFIL should not be used by women as it is used to treat impotence (erectile dysfunction) in men only.

 

BREAST FEEDING

SILDENAFIL should not be used by women as it is used to treat impotence (erectile dysfunction) in men only.

 

DRIVING

SILDENAFIL may cause dizziness and blurred vision, therefore you are advised to drive and operate machinery only if you are alert.

 

LIVER

SILDENAFIL should be used with caution in patients with liver impairment/liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed in such patients.

 

KIDNEY

SILDENAFIL should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed in such patients.
