About Oscodin Syrup
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Menthol is a combination of three medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Codeine, and Menthol. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Codeine is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and relieves minor throat irritation.

Chlorpheniramine Maleate+Codeine+Menthol is used in the treatment of dry cough.

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Menthol as it may increase dizziness and drowsiness.
PREGNANCY
Avoid taking Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Menthol if you are pregnant as CHLORPHENIRAMINE+CODEINE+MENTHOL contains codeine which might make the baby dependent on the drug leading to withdrawal symptoms in the baby after its birth.
BREAST FEEDING
Avoid taking if you are breastfeeding as Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Menthol contains codeine which might pass into breastmilk leading to life-threatening side effects.
DRIVING
Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Codeine + Menthol may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.
LIVER

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with liver impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have a liver impairment or any concerns regarding this.
KIDNEY
