About Sulid-MR Tablet

NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE is a combination medicine used to relieve pain due to muscle spasms such as arthritis, muscle pain, tooth pain, bone and joint pain, headache, and period pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable.
 
NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE contains Nimesulide (analgesic), Paracetamol (mild analgesic and fever reducer), and Tizanidine (muscle relaxant). Nimesulide and Paracetamol work by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandin (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are made, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Tizanidine affects the spinal cord and brain, which helps relieve muscle stiffness, thereby improving muscle movements. Together, NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE helps in reducing pain due to muscle spasms.

NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE is a combination of three drugs, namely: Tizanidine, Nimesulide, Paracetamol. NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis,  muscle pain, tooth pain, bone and joint pain, headache, and period pain. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant that works on the centers of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. Nimesulide and Paracetamol are analgesics that work by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandins (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are made, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms. 

Directions for Use

Take NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE with or without food. Swallow NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE as a whole with a glass of water, do not chew, or break the table. Based on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE.

Drug Warnings

Do not take NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you have/had severe heart problems, stomach ulcer or perforation, and bleeding problems such as bleeding from the stomach, intestine, or brain, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, or inflammation of intestines. NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE. Inform your doctor before taking NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and kidney problems. Do not take NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol, and NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE as it could lead to increased dizziness and increase stomach bleeding risk. Stop taking NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach such as blood in stools. Do not take any other analgesic for pain relief along with NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE unless prescribed.  

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction:

NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE may have interaction with pain killers (hydrocodone), anti-depressants (escitalopram, duloxetine, sertraline), anti-psychotic (lithium), anti-rheumatoid (methotrexate), immunosuppressants (cyclosporin), hypnotic (zolpidem), anti-convulsant (pregabalin), antihistamine (diphenhydramine, cetirizine).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE may have interactions with stomach ulcer or perforation, bleeding problems, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, inflammation of intestines anemia, heart, kidney, and liver problems.

Safety Advice

ALCOHOL

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE as it may increase drowsiness. It can also increase the risk of stomach bleeding.

PREGNANCY

Please consult your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this, your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks. NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE should not be taken during the last three months of pregnancy.

BREAST FEEDING

Consult your doctor before taking NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE, your doctor will decide whether NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE can be taken by breastfeeding mothers or not.

DRIVING

NIMESULIDE+PARACETAMOL+TIZANIDINE may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery unless you are alert.

LIVER

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with liver impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have a liver impairment or any concerns regarding this.

KIDNEY

Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor if you have kidney impairment or any concerns regarding this.
