CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN helps lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.
 
CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol succinate. Chlorthalidone lowers the blood pressure and swelling by removing excess fluid and electrolytes via urine. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate slows down the heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN helps treat hypertension.

Directions for Use

Drug-Disease Interaction:

CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN may have interactions with disease conditions such as diabetes, renal dysfunction (kidney disease), pulmonary disease, ischemic heart disease, hypotension (low blood pressure), and liver disease.

ALCOHOL

Avoid or limit consumption of alcohol while taking CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN as it might cause increased dizziness.

PREGNANCY

Please consult your doctor before taking CHLORTHALIDONE+METOPROLOL SUCCINATE+TELMISARTAN if you are pregnant; your doctor will prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
