The responsibilities of a Wound care attendants include monitoring a patient for signs of complications and keeping wounds clean and properly dressed. A Trained attendants will typically follow the orders of a registered nurse and may be assisted by the RN when it comes to cleaning and dressing a patient’s wound. No matter the role a Trained attendants plays in wound care for a patient, they always have the responsibility of carefully monitoring patients for signs of problems with the healing process.
