About Thioblis-F 4 Tablet

FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE belongs to a group of medicines called pain killers/analgesic used in the treatment of muscle spasms, menstrual cramps, headache due to stress and tensions, pain due to cancer chemotherapy, pain due to injuries and postoperative (after operation) pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable.

FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE contains two medicines: Flupirtine (painkiller) and Thiocolchicoside (muscle relaxant). Flupirtine is a painkiller/ non-opioid analgesic. It reduces the awareness of pain by blocking the transmission of pain signs to the brain. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant that works on the centers of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements, thereby helping relieve pain due to muscle spasms. This FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE is thus better efficient in relieving pain and relax muscles.

Directions for Use

Take FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE with or after food. Swallow FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE as a whole with a glass of water, do not chew or break the tablet. Based on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE.

FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE should not be used in children below 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not established. FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE may cause drowsiness and dizziness it is advisable to you do not drive unless you are alert.

Drug-Drug Interaction:

FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE may have interaction with a blood thinner (warfarin), anticancer medicines (methotrexate), medicines for heart disease (propranolol), anti-allergies (prednisolone), medicine for the fit disorder (carbamazepine), pain killer (paracetamol).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

FLUPIRTINE+THIOCOLCHICOSIDE should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, muscle weakness, asthma and edema (swelling in hands and feet).
