He continued his further training at Mysore Medical College and completed postgraduation in General Surgery in 2007. He worked as an Assistant Professor in MVJ Medical College from 2008 to 2009. He has experience as a consultant General surgeon for 3 years in different corporate hospitals. He has worked as junior consultant in urology at Columbia Asia Hospital, Yeshwanthpur. In 2013, Dr Giriraja joined Meenakshi Mission Hospital in Madurai as a DNB resident in urology and completed his superspeciality degree in 2016.
